This is a game I made for Jayda. I saw it in a magazine. It's to help her practice matching capital letters and lower case letters. She does so good! It's super easy to make. I just used some bottle caps (prescription bottles, milk jugs, juice jugs) and some ice blocks from the "Don't Break The Ice" game. I used a scrapbook punch to punch out circles and squares. I taped them on cardboard box and on squares/caps. Then wrote the letters. She loves it! She does so good with counting, writing and recognizing! Way to go Jayda!
One crazy family serving one amazing God!

Shadow
*In the morning when Hayven wakes up she giggles with excitement at seeing her big sister. *She follows her around all day. Sometimes she gets shooed away and other times they both
giggle so hard it makes me laugh.
*If Jayda dances...Hayven dances too! If Jayda is pushing buttons on the VCR/DVD player then
Hayven wants to push buttons too.
*Although Hayven likes to do things on her own she prefers to follow her big sister!
*Hayven loves climbing onto Jaydas bed and playing.
*If Jayda digs in the scrapbook drawers for paper...Hayven heads over there and does the same!
*Hayven tries to write/color on paper just like Jayda.
*Sometimes I hear..."Hayven go away."
*Sometimes I hear laughing as Jayda is dragging Hayven by one arm.
She loves to follow her big sister. I'd say it's a like/annoy relationship!

ARGGHH MATEYS
Well this is what we got talked into! We had a blast though. It was worth it! The 7 of us including little Ella the parrot, dressed up as pirates and went to a German Folk Dance/Costumeball. It was quite the experience I must say. We enjoyed our pop while watching others guzzle their beer down like true Germans do! We even won 3rd place in the Group category for our costumes. We chose a 12 pack of Diet Pepsi with Lime over the beer! Way to go youth sponsors!!
We enjoyed watching Tony Schenk and his girls dance a few times! We even got out there and danced a couple times to the Chicken Dance and some funky German song that had actions.
I guess it was such a hit that we are already planning for next year to wear our wedding dresses and tuxes! Diet...here I come!

Dream or Reality
Just an ordinary day...until...
It was just an ordinary day playing with the girls. Until Zach got home that is! He had already told me he had dinner covered! He immediately started washing dishes. Yes...that's strange! He does dishes, but not usually right when he gets home. So I thought hmm...maybe he's just doing that cause it's my birthday!

Then he all of a sudden says you gotta be ready in 5 minutes. Hmm...my mind starts pondering! So we got all ready. I said do I need to dress up. Nope he said! Before we leave I notice there are 9 coffee mugs out. I say that's a lot of mugs for only 4 people that usually drink coffee at small group. He shrugged it off. All right...and we're off. My mind is going through all the options as we are driving over towards Cokato. We stop at DQ. I think hmm...ok quick dinner before small group. Nope he just runs in to get a cake! Next stop Marketplace. I ask, "are we eating here?" Nope he says. He runs in...for a while. Comes back with pop and candles, although I didn't know this til we got home. Then we head towards home. I'm thinking wow not much time to eat or do anything before small group. I say, "wow that was a fun trip." Now I'm starting to think there must be people at our house cause why else would he drag me all the way over to Cokato? I was quite excited to see many cars outside our house and be welcomed with a big, "surprise" when I got home! THANKS SO MUCH! To my wonderful hubby who went to all the work to order pizza, get everyone here and keep it all from me....which by the way is not easy ; ) Thanks for the gifts everyone and for sharing in my special day! You mean so much to me! I smiled when I woke up this morning as I had to determine if it was a dream or reality. Would have been a great dream...but the reality was even better!
